Hollywood here I come….

….ok so I may have exaggerated a little but I did get the opportunity to appear in a film noire this week that is being produced by student directors at Birmingham university.  I’m starting to build a CV of non adult projects and have found that I have a passion for acting! My showreel should be available soon.

This week I have also been busy making custom video’s but managed to find some time to bounce away on the wii fit  – the extreme sports game has had me ducking, jumping and diving all over the place! When I did the bodytest I gasped when I saw I had gone up 1 pound…then I felt a tail tickle my leg and realised my cat Piskie had come and mad herself comfortable on the balance board – phew!

I have also been keeping up with my favourite show – ‘Supernatural’ and now looking for more sci-fi now I have finished Dollhouse and Star Trek Voyager.  I am also loving the new Dr Who which has exceeded my expectations! Being a massive fan of David Tennant (at least as the Doctor) I initially  wondered how any other actor would fill his boots but have been pleasantly surprised with Matt Smith’s acting abilities and moments of comic genius…..

The Doctor: “Didn’t anyone ever tell you, there’s one thing you never put in a trap if you’re smart? If you value your continued existence. If you have any plans about seeing tomorrow, there’s one thing you never ever put in a trap.”
Bob/Weeping Angel: “And what would be that be, sir?”
The Doctor: “Me!”

His character developed considerably in the last weeping angels episode and I look forward to more moments of hilarity from the new Doctor and his lovely assistant Ms Pond.

In fact the only let down was the new breed of daleks that resemble vacuum cleaners and are about as scary as a small weeping child or a yorkshire terrier with a sore toe! I did however enjoy the Doctor’s improvisation with a jammy dodger biscuit  which he bluffed was a remote to an explosive device that he would use to rid the world of daleks once and for all!

What do you think of the new Doctor Who? Your comments on this subject are welcome.
