A deep fascination with the constellation Lyra has called to my soul for quite some time. Legends of Lyra and its brightest star, Vega, paint an image of a Felinoid species. Their mission? Harmony, peace and co-evolution.
More recently, I experienced a compelling synchronicity. I was telling someone about Lyra, and they looked at me blankly, having never heard of it. Moments later, the sky darkened, twinkling stars emerging across the inky, velvet blanket above.
It was the perfect time to open the app I’d downloaded the day before – Night Sky. I opened the app, pointed it at the sky, and a sea of constellations appeared, a landscape of shimmering blue, red, white and orange. One of the first constellations I happened to see was Lyra, and its brightest star, Vega, glimmered back, a cheeky nod from the universe.
After a couple of hours of stargazing, I decided to meditate on this the next day. I brewed a concoction of dreamy, relaxing herbs – Mugwort, Chamomile, Lemon Balm, blue lotus, rose petals, and various other herbs that amplify a reflective state.
Setting the soundtrack of my ambient, candlelit sanctuary to 963 Hz, I selected a variety of blue stones, including lavender Jade, Turquoise, and blue Opal, closed my eyes and began a deep rhythmic breathing.
In my mind’s eye, a scene began to unfold, and I observed an outdoor temple that shimmered like moonstone. A feline race gathered in a circle, their bodies humanoid yet their faces feline in structure, with large almond eyes that glittered in the dusk, long noses and wearing white cloaks tinged with blue, their hoods raised, as if in ceremony.
Ancient lore projected into me – a great fracture was coming to split apart the harmony of the star, yet the graceful felines were calm, prepared. Yet, I saw poignancy in their eyes, and I felt this was a moment of great significance. They gathered around a great altar, carved from something that seemed to blend marble with moon opal. At the centre was a giant, natural quartz crystal. Several of the felinoids reached forward with velvet paws, which were placed upon the crystal. The Quartz came to life, a vibrant light radiating from it and lighting up the night sky. Codes and symbols made from moonstone emerged from the stone, levitating.
One of the codes looked like a simple loop, though many others were drifting and spinning in the ethers. Next, they began to sprinkle down into the galaxy, transforming into shimmering, golden light. I felt the call to open my crown, and as the deep indigo petals parted softly, the light symbols spilt in like raindrops. A stirring began in my solar plexus, and I felt the call to open a spiral between my crown and Vega, sending love and feeling vibrant, blue light travel down into my being.
I asked, “What truth do I need to know?” I felt the answer, “You are already truth.”
Somewhat bemused, I opened my heart chakra and solar plexus and asked, “What truth do I need to know?” The answer was clearer this time and less cryptic. “Let go of fear. Let go of being judged. That’s the only thing holding you back. It’s time now, take a step forward.”
Then something said,” The codes will be activated,” but I wasn’t sure who the voice belonged to, if it was mine or felt from somewhere else.
Fascinated, I asked if any Lyrans are left. I was told, “Yes, but many are hidden, or unactivated yet.”
From the dreamy state in my mind’s eye, I brought my focus to my third eye. To start with, golden threads of light seemed to weave across a black field, ever-shifting. I watched them dance and then begin to part. In the darkness, I could see a faint outline of a feline face watching me observe. Then a reptilian face appeared and the name Draco, yet bizarrely, this one was not to be feared. It felt as if this one was in allyship with the Felinoid, and a sense of serenity washed over me. After a few moments of watching, the field began to destabilise, and I closed the image and opened my eyes.
Afterwards, I sat in contemplation to decipher what I had seen. I concluded, in the meditation, the Lyrans had sensed disharmony before it took place and used ancient technology to capture strands of their DNA, essence, truths, knowledge, perhaps? Then split them into symbols, alchemised into light to scatter across the corners of the galaxy, where they would one day be activated.
I was left with the notion, “Fear shall be banished. Light shall come.”
